For more than 40 years the GORE-TEX brand has collaborated with top global brands to create best-in-class products that offer durable waterproof, windproof and breathable protection.
While the outdoor and activity categories are where the brand has been well-known, GORE-TEX Lifestyle products have emerged as stylish options that offer the brand’s same high performance without sacrificing style or functionality.
History and Fashion with GORE-TEX Lifestyle Products
In mid-November, the GORE-TEX brand hosted a small group of journalists and content creators for a special event in New York City to share information about the history of GORE-TEX Lifestyle products and introduce them to some of our favorite styles from lifestyle and fashion brands including Adidas Originals, Arc’teryx Veliance, Converse, Haven, Merrell, New Balance, Nike, Palace Skateboards, Patagonia, Salomon, Supreme, The North Face, UGG, Vans and more.
Each participant met with professional stylist Sadia Seymour to select a unique look from a curated selection of products specifically chosen for them. They then met professional photographer Jake Rosenberg out on the High Line to have their pictures taken. They each received a new selection of GORE-TEX Lifestyle products to add to their collection and later received their photographs.

About GORE-TEX Lifestyle products
One of the first lifestyle products for the GORE-TEX brand was in 1979 with the debut of the Woolrich Mountain jacket (which, despite the name, was a lifestyle garment).
Additional past lifestyle collaborations have included products with ACRONYM, BYBORRE, Comme des Garçons, Herno, Nanamica, Norse Projects, Off-WhiteTM, Prada, Stussy, and many others.
In Fall/Winter 2022, the GORE-TEX Brand introduced the first new GORE-TEX Products with the innovative new ePE (expanded Polyethylene) membrane into the market, including lifestyle garments and footwear. Additional GORE-TEX Products with ePE membrane continue to be rolled out in Fall/Winter 2023, including new lifestyle garments and footwear styles. New GORE-TEX with the ePE membrane offers durably waterproof, windproof and breathable performance; is light, thin yet strong; has a reduced carbon impact (per Higg MSI) and is PFC-free*.
